Collection Allemande

At the end of WWI German art historians set up a major campaign with a view to drawing up an inventory of images. Photographers took up a key role in this campaign. The so-called Collection Allemande consists of over 500 glass negatives and vintage prints, documentary shots that are technically perfect and of a keenly sensitive aesthetical quality. Consistent in style, these splendid images pay homage to the architectural patrimony of Belgium.
